Rathbone Wine Group (RWG) has partnered with Oatley Fine Wine Merchants (OFWM) to distribute its wines across Australia’s eastern seaboard.

RWG is an Australian family-owned wine group made up of Yering Station, Mount Langi Ghiran and Xanadu.

The deal with OFWM begins on 1 May and will distribute RWG’s pinot noir, chardonnay and cool-climate shiraz from Victoria with cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay out of Western Australia.

RWG Chair, Doug Rathbone, paid tribute to the group’s current supplier and said OFWM has shared values as a fellow family business, having been started by the late Robert Oatley in 2006.

“We have no doubt that they will not only maintain but continue to identify new customers in their impressive network of both on and off-trade clientele,” Rathbone said.

“Our two family businesses have shared values, focussing on iconic regions and brands of the highest echelon.

“I also want to acknowledge and thank our current distributor, The Wine Co., for their custodianship, support and representation of our brands over the last five years.”

OFWM Chair, Andrew (Sandy) Oatley, said the distributor is proud to have RWG join the portfolio.

“They will be an ideal complement to our already impressive portfolio of award-winning wineries,” Oatley said.

“It will be an absolute pleasure for our team to represent these outstanding wines on the eastern seaboard and to share them with our valued customers.”

OFWM also signed on Deakin Estate recently with the Australian distribution partnership effective from 1 April, 2025.

This includes Deakin Estate, Deakin Azahara and La La Land wines, which are owned and produced by the Calabria family.

OFWM has a number of famous brands in its portfolio, including Cape Mentelle, Josef Chromy, Piper-Heidsieck and Charles Heidsieck, Giesen, Bimbadgen, Philip Shaw, Wicks Estate and Oatley wines.
