Schweppes Australia has begun rolling out a new line of premium 200ml sized bottles, exclusively developed for on-premise customers.
A large range of Schweppes variants are available in the new packaging, including Schweppes Soda Water, Schweppes Tonic Water, Schweppes Ginger Ale, Schweppes Lemonade, Schweppes Agrum Collection Blood Orange and Schweppes Agrum Collection Citrus Blend.
The company says it created the ‘single serve’ format in response to the growing expectations for a premium beverage experience amongst many consumers, while also providing venues with many other benefits.
"With its high-end look, the customised 200mL bottles will provide venue managers with a valuable point of difference by reducing wastage, while the smart design ensures that carbonation is held in for longer," said Schweppes Australia senior brand manager Ben Goss. [continues below]
"The single serve Schweppes bottles allow consumers to customise their own drinks to their preference."
According to Schweppes, consumer research indicates the growth of boutique beers and wines, as well as the rise of molecular mixing, has increased consumers’ expectations of the on-premise channel as a whole.
"When people head out for a dining and drinking experience, whether that is to a café, restaurant or bar, they’re heading there either as a treat for their senses or a social occasion. As such they’re more inclined to pay a bit more for an elevated experience and have greater expectations of what this experience will yield," Goss said.
"The new Schweppes 200mL product range provides venues with product that has a proven record of quality, with all the hallmarks of a boutique brand."
