Skyy vodka will shout 2400 cosmopolitans cocktails to guests attending the Sydney and Melbourne premieres of the Sex in the City movie tonight.
Guests will also be treated to a show bag containing Skyy Blue bottles, postcards and lanyards as part of a global sponsorship deal that includes product placement in the film. Skky has even created four new cocktails named after the four protagonists in the film.
Also cashing in on the marketing bonanza is the US-based Coca-Cola Company (CCC), which is using the film to relaunch Diet Coke, The Sydney Morning Herald reported. The company has put on sale in Australia this week a limited number of Diet Coke bottles with pink lids that tie into the film’s colour scheme. It will be supported by a comprehensive advertising campaign.
Sex and the City premieres at cinemas nationwide on Thursday.
