Southtrade International last night (May 18) launched an ultra-premium vodka, Ultimat, to the Australian market.

A new product from the Patron Spirits Company, Ultimat is made in Poland and is unique in that it is the only vodka distilled from both grains and potato, as opposed to the traditional method of using just one of the two.

Last night’s launch party saw 150 VIP guests pack into the revolving Orbit bar in the CBD to sample the vodka in a range of Martinis, including a ‘Make your own’ Martini bar.

Guests enjoyed canapés such as individual pumpkin tortellini shells and pork belly, before a brief presentation by local brand manager Julian Hartley.

In the United States, Ultimat Vodka has been involved with many high-preofile charity events including the Michael J. Fox Fundraiser and the San Diego Museum of Art: Culture & Cocktails evening.

Ultimat will retail for between $100 and $110 per bottle.

The Patron Spirits portfolio also includes the Patron tequila range and Pyrat rums.
