Brisbane is booming. The city’s nightlife is home to iconic venues, classic pubs, awesome bars and sophisticated cocktails as well as amazing live music spots.

The city is also home to a vibrant craft beer scene with Archive Beer Boutique one of Brisbane’s pioneering craft beer venues. Now venue owners AusHotel Group have listed the pub for sale.

The property is situated in Boundary Street in Brisbane’s popular West End precinct. The two level venue spans to 1,419sqm and was recently renovated. It includes a main food and beverage operation as well as the Loft Bar – a function-based business on the upper floor which provides flexibility and additional revenue streams.

Archive is in prime investment real estate located opposite the billion-dollar West Village precinct which is currently under construction. The pub comes with a full commercial late trading liquor licence (until 2am) with the ability to have three detached bottle shops within 10km.

Aushotel Managing Director Jim Davies said: “Archive was Brisbane’s first and largest craft beer bar which continues to stand the test of time. Many of our great craft brews have all had their start and gained exposure and volume through Archive.

“Archive is still a significant volume driver for many craft brands on the market and has never poured a ‘mainstream’ beer on tap.”

AusHotel Group have announced that CBRE has been appointed as lead sales advisor for the sale of Archive with Hotels National Pubs Director Paul Fraser heading the campaign.

Fraser said the pub has long garnered the attention of locals and travellers for its craft beer offerings and expertise and that it should generate a lot of interest in the buyers’ market.

He said: “Archive has been a pioneer in Queensland’s craft beer market. The decision 10 years ago to launch Archive as a pure craft beer offering was courageous but it has been instrumental in differentiating this asset in the marketplace.

“This location, combined with the asset’s size, scale and long tenure, presents a compelling opportunity and we believe the sale campaign will generate considerable buyer interest.”

Fraser added: “The sale provides the opportunity for an incoming operator to tap into the continued evolution of Brisbane’s craft beer market via a long-term, 31-year head lease over a building situated on one of city’s fastest-growing suburbs.”

The Archive Beer Boutique is being currently for sale under expressions of interest, closing 27 May, 2021, unless sold prior. Interested parties should contact Paul Fraser on +61 401 100 350.
