Fight fans can look forward to two epic events over the next week, and venues around the country will not want to miss out on any of the action.

After Michael Zerafa withdrew from his fight against Tim Tszyu, there were fears that Australia’s fight fans would miss out on a massive bout. But Tszyu will still be taking to the ring on Wednesday 7 July after rising Australian boxer star Stevie Spark stepped up to take the chance to fight Tszyu.

Spark told the pre-fight press conference he was looking forward to fighting Tszyu and was hoping for his own ‘Hollywood’ moment.

“I like challenges and life is about taking risks,” he said. “With no risk there is no reward.

“I’ve dreamed about fighting Tim Tszyu and obviously this has come a little bit quicker than I expected, but that’s a good thing. I’m fit and I’m ready and I’m coming to Newcastle to win.

“This is Cinderella Man, this is Rocky, this is my golden ticket.”

Tszyu puts his 18-0 record on the line against Spark, who is 12-1 so far in his professional boxing career, boasting 11 knockouts from those 12 wins.

But the fight magic does not stop there, with UFC fans set for an epic bout, which is sure to draw fans into venues around the country.

Sunday 11 July sees the third fight of a fantastic trilogy when Dustin Poirier takes on UFC superstar Conor McGregor at UFC 264 from a packed out T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Poirier vs McGregor 3 at UFC 264 sees both fighters looking to close the final chapter of this epic trilogy with a win and sought after 2-1 victory record.

The pair first matched up at UFC 178, back in 2014 with McGregor taking the win thanks to a first round TKO. Then back in January they met again, this time at UFC 257, with Poirier gaining his revenge with a second round TKO.

The fight sees the ultimate showman in McGregor facing off against a much-improved Poirier who will have a lot of confidence following his win in January.

Which way will it go? There’s only one way to find out, with Main Event Pay-Per-View showing what is certain to be a hugely popular fight with fans around Australia. Contact 1300 138 898 to get this huge battle in your venue.
