Star Entertainment pleaded guilty to seven charges in a Queensland Court.
Star Entertainment operates The Star Gold Coast and Brisbane’s Treasury Casino, as well as the Star Sydney. The group pleaded guilty in a Queensland Court to seven charges under the Casino Control Act 1982.
The charges relate to purchasing gambling chips with a credit card, which is prohibited under Section 66 of the Act. The offences took place between 2 June 2017 and 29 December 2018, and between 23 March 2022 and 2 April 2022. Sentencing will be handed down on 2 June 2023.
