Stone & Wood has instigated a voluntary partial recall of its flagship Pacific Ale 330ml beer, following a potential chemical contamination of one of its batches.
The partial recall of Pacific Ale 330ml with the best before date code of 25.02.17 is a precautionary measure due to an isolated incident that may have led to traces of residual cleaning solution transferring to a small number of bottles in a single batch.
In accordance with the company’s quality procedures it is recalling all product from within that batch.
No other Stone & Wood products or batches of Pacific Ale are understood to be affected and the potentially contaminated product has only been available for sale in Northern New South Wales and Queensland.
Stone & Wood said in a statement on its website:
“The quality of our beer is our highest priority. That’s why we’ve decided to do a voluntary partial recall of our Pacific Ale 330ml product with the best before date code of 25.02.17.
“We’ve taken the precautionary measure due to an isolated incident that may have affected a small number of Pacific Ale bottles in a single batch.
“For us, we do all we can to make sure that every beer that leaves our brewery doors is up to our high standards and we would like to assure everyone that you can continue to have confidence in our beer.”
