Stoneleigh is set to launch a premium rosé wine into the Australian market in time for the Christmas and summer trading period.
The 2014 Stoneleigh Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé is set to be released in Australia by the Kiwi winery at a time when the category is in a period of growth, according to IRi-Aztec data which shows that volume sales in the $15 to $25 price bracket are up 21.8 per cent.
Stoneleigh winemaker Jamie Marfell said the 2014 Stoneleigh Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé is dry and refreshing, and while well suited to the summer months, can be enjoyed year round.
“While Marlborough is best known for Sauvignon Blanc, the region also produces some beautifully crisp and vibrant rosé wines,” he said.
“For our latest release, we harvested the fruit at peak intensity to deliver both fresh and ripe fruit properties, and minimised winemaking intervention to ensure the wine perfectly expresses its unique origins here in Marlborough.”
The 2014 Stoneleigh Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé has an RRP of $19.99
