For the eighth time in nine years, Tabcorp Holdings Limited has been ranked as the global gambling industry leader in the annual Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).
Against other Australian and international operators of wagering, casinos and lotteries businesses, Tabcorp ranked highest in ten of 17 environmental, social and economic categories on which the assessment is based.
Tabcorp received a 100 per cent rating in ‘Promoting Responsible Gambling’ category for the seventh year running.
Tabcorp managing director and CEO, David Attenborough, expressed the company’s commitment to operating in a responsible manner for the long term benefit of its stakeholders.
“This is a particularly important recognition in a year where there was significant concern around the nature and extent of sports betting promotion in Australia.”
Other areas of focus for Tabcorp’s sustainability include integrity, risk management, supporting the community, environment, customers and its supply chain.
“Tabcorp’s continued global leadership in the annual DJSI is a reflection of our long term commitment to operating sustainably,” said Attenborough. “We are pleased to continue to be recognised as a world leader in the responsible service of gambling and for our high standard of governance.”
