Clare Valley winery Taylors will be marking the 55th anniversary of its founding day with the unveiling of its 2024 Family Flagship Release, a capsule collection featuring 11 of Taylors’ finest wines.
Comprising wines from four of Taylors wine ranges, the Family Flagship Release showcases wines spanning from the 2017 to 2024 vintage. For the first time, the collection will also include a museum release, St Andrews Riesling 2020.
Taylors Chief Winemaker Adam Eggins says: “Each vintage in our 2024 Family Flagship Release tells its own unique story and continues to push the boundaries of what our winery can achieve in crafting fine wine.”
Joining St Andrews Reisling 2020 in the line up is three of Taylors’ pinnacle wines, each of which have been named to honour the founding purpose of Taylors, and the individuals who have made lasting contributions to the winery over the years.
This includes The Pioneer Shiraz 2018, a nod to the pioneering spirit of Bill Taylor from the second generation of the business; The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, which honours Taylors’ founder and visionary Bill Taylor Sr.; and The Legacy 2017, named as an embodiment of the founding vision and enduring family journey behind Taylors Wines.
Completing the collection are new vintages from Taylors Masterstroke and St Andrews ranges, including a selection of Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Clare Valley, Coonawarra and McLaren Vale regions.
“The spread of vintages and the selection of varieties showcased in this release is a capsule collection of what Taylors has been known and celebrated for for more than 50 years. I’m incredibly proud to share the 2024 Family Flagship Release and look forward to sharing these wines with wine lovers worldwide,” added Eggins.
Founded in 1969 to address growing demand for premium quality table wines, Taylors Wines has built a reputation for crafting award-winning wines. The Family Flagship Release celebrates more than a half-century of commitment and investment by the winery to pushing the boundaries of fine wine.
Mitchell Taylor, third-generation Winemaker and Managing Director, says the Family Flagship Release not only demonstrates Taylors ability to craft wines of the highest quality, but symbolises its commitment to setting new benchmarks for the winery for generations to come.
“As a family business, it’s important we protect my grandfather and father’s visions but also set new standards for the next generation to strive towards. These wines are the embodiment of that philosophy,” he stated.
Taylors Flagship Family Release will be available from 21 July from select retailers, Taylors Clare Valley cellar door and online.
