This week sees the launch of the 2025 Wynnsday Collection of luxury wines from Wynns Coonawarra Estate, which this year contains two never-before-seen releases including one limited edition wine.
The two new wines added to this year’s Wynnsday Collection are a Black Label Messenger Chardonnay and a limited edition Cabernet Franc. The other wines in this year’s collection include Wynns Michael Shiraz, Single Vineyard Childs Cabernet Sauvignon and Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Wynnsday Collection sees Wynns winemakers Sue Hodder, Sarah Pidgeon and Chris Plummer, alongside viticulturist Ben Harris, develop and curate an annual collection of wines which is launched on the Estate’s annual release day.
The wines are selected to represent the very best of that vintage and Terra Rossa soils from the Estate’s vineyard to offer a taste of the Coonawarra’s world-class heritage.
Senior Winemaker Hodder, said: “With the longest established vineyards in the Coonawarra region, Wynns today is not only one of the world’s finest terroirs, it also presents one of the world’s preeminent winemaking and viticultural teams, which is why this collection of premium wines truly brings together the rich, distinctive flavours of the region, with the artistry of winemaking.
“This year, we are very excited to showcase three distinct vintages as well as introduce two new wines. After decades of experience and experimentation with these varieties, we’re thrilled to finally bottle these wines, which are the new modern classics, each with its own Wynns story.”
As well as the new wines this year’s collection features a new design which Wynns describes as “distinctive, classic and inspiring”, adding that the new design “honours the heritage of Wynns, whilst maintaining its status as an iconic Australian brand”.
The 2025 Wynnsday Collection is available from Wednesday, 4 June at fine wine retailers across the country, while Wynns’ John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 will be available in Australia from September.
