The Australian Liquor Stores Association (ALSA) has once again partnered with IRI Australia to produce the second annual ALSA-IRI Australian Retail Liquor State of the Industry Report.
The 2017 report is a fact-based analysis of the composition and performance of the industry and will be introduced to members at a pre-launch briefing next week. The first of the ALSA membership briefings is taking place at the IRI offices in Rhodes on Tuesday, with ALSA members invited to attend this important, and free networking event. The report is officially launched in Canberra next month, so this briefing gives members the opportunity to see what the report is about ahead of that official launch.
ALSA's CEO, Terry Mott, told TheShout: "The ALSA-IRI State of the Industry report gives a clear snapshot of the jobs, economic and social contribution that the retail packaged liquor sector and the overall alcohol beverages industry makes to the Australian economy and to the fabric of the Australian way of life.
"The report contains a wealth of data on the major market trends including extremely useful detailed category management information on key segments within the market for our retailer members."
Looking at the beer, cider, wine, spirits, RTD and RTS categories, the State of the Industry Report details retail liquor's performance versus the broader FMCG marketplace as well as its turnover and growth, plus lots more information on the retail liquor industry.
The members' networking event and report presentation kicks off at 8am in Rhodes, and those wishing to attend must register beforehand. Details of the location and how to register are available through the LSA NSW website.
