The 2011 installation of the Rosé Revolution is set to kick off next month (November), with a series of events and tastings scheduled to promote Rosé.
Spearheaded by Leanne DeBortoli and Steve Webber of DeBortoli Wines, this year’s Rosé Revolution starts on November 10 with ‘Rosé Soirees’ happening all over the country and across the globe via social networking sites, with the sole purpose of highlighting the versatility of Rosé.
“There is something delightful about pouring a glass of truly beautiful Rosé and enjoying what real Rosé is about,” said DeBortoli.
“Steve and I have had a love affair with Rosé for some years now and believe it is the perfect wine to go with the Australian lifestyle. With the very impressive selection of Australian Rosé on offer now I believe its time has come.”
Rosé will also feature heavily in the next campaign from the Australian Pork industry, having named the Rosé Revolution as its official wine partner for the next installment of Australian Pork’s successful PorkStars campaign in 2012.
Recent Nielsen figures show a growth of Rosé wines over $15, up 21.5 percent in value and 16.6 percent in volume, in the year to July 2011.
