Aussie beer lovers can officially cast their votes for their five favourite craft beers of 2024, with the GABS Hottest 100 people’s choice poll now open.
After what has been an incredibly tough year for Australia’s craft brewing industry, GABS Hottest 100 provides a welcome opportunity to show appreciation for the creativity and craftmanship of the nation’s breweries.
Last year, the people’s choice poll attracted 300,000 votes from 60,000 beer drinkers, with 436 of Australia’s craft breweries making it into the running. For the second year in a row, Mountain Culture Beer Co topped the podium with Status Quo Pale Ale, closely followed by Balter Brewing XPA and BentSpoke Brewing Co Crankshaft IPA in second and third position.
Considered to be Australia’s most influential polls in craft beer, voters can choose just five of their favourite beers and will be automatically entered into a draw to win a share of prizes valued at $10,000.
Results will be announced on Saturday 25 January, with countdown parties hosted at venues around the country and results broadcast via the Hottest 100 podcast, hosted by beer connoisseur Craig Williams.
Mia Horner, General Manager of Customer Loyalty at Coles Liquor, which sponsors the GABS Hottest 100 countdown, says: “We’re thrilled to partner with GABS once again to reveal the Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers. Australia has an exceptional lineup of breweries that never fail to impress with the flavours and styles of their brews, and we’re excited by the opportunity to recognise them on a national scale.”
Voting is open now until Saturday 12 January via gabshottest100.com.
