Whisky Live Sydney will hold an exclusive daytime Trade session on Wednesday 15th August.  The session will showcase new and current whiskies in the Australian market, plus conduct a special education seminar. The trade session offers an important opportunity for hospitality and retail staff to develop their whisky knowledge and appreciation, and understand what the whisky consumer is now expecting.

With events like Whisky Live over the past years, the whisky category has grown in popularity. Sydney’s first Whisky Live was in 2009 and since then numerous dedicated whisky bars and specialist whisky retailers have entered the market. The consumer awareness and interest in whisky is much greater than years ago and still growing.

The Whisky Live Trade session is specifically for those venues and retailers wanting to gain an understanding of whisky. A 1-hour seminar during the trade session will be conducted for retailers and hospitality.  It will cover the basics as well as give market insight plus discuss how to establish and grow the category in your business.

Whisky Live representative Doug van Tienen said “…as whisky interest grows, it is important for all sectors of the trade to understand it so they can benefit… The best way to know whisky is to taste and compare, and that’s what Whisky Live offers.”

Whisky live will showcase Australia’s growing range of whiskies from around the world including Scotland, America, India, Japan, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, which will be on show and tasting.
