Vanguard Luxury Brands has announced its exclusive distributor partnership with Whyte & Mackay, now offering its customers access to leading Scotch whisky brands such as The Dalmore, Jura, Fettercairn and Tamnavulin.
One of the largest global whisky producers, Whyte & Mackay was recognised by the IWSR as the fastest growing single malt owner from 2019 to 2022 in both domestic and global travel retail markets. Alongside its single malt portfolio, Whyte & Mackay also produces modern spirits, such as Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry and Glayva Whisky Liqueur.
Whyte & Mackay products will join other whiskies in Vanguard’s distribution portfolio, including Michter’s Whiskey, Fuji Whisky, Bearface Whisky, Morris Whisky and Gospel Whiskey. The partnership will strengthen Vanguard’s position in the single malt category, as Head of Sales, Michael Cox, explained.
“Vanguard has always championed bringing the best brands to the best bars and the addition of Whyte & Mackay to our portfolio only further bolsters this vision. We could not be more thrilled at the opportunity to solidify our role in the single malt space with these highly sought after products and continue our mission to shape premium drinks culture in Australia,” he said.
The partnership will also be beneficial for Whyte & Mackay, according to Director of Developing Markets, Mike Southgate.
“This is a very exciting time for Whyte & Mackay as our exceptional portfolio of single malts is outperforming across global markets. We believe that Vanguard’s expertise coupled with the scale of Lion, can truly engage the Australian consumer as we bring our ambitious single malt whisky plans to life,” he said.
Whyte & Mackay’s Australia Area Manager, Fraser Russell thanked the brand’s previous distributor, Amber Beverages.
“After 15 years of collaboration with Amber Beverages, this decision marks a strategic move for both respective businesses. We are sincerely grateful to Patrick and the Amber Beverage team for the long, supportive history we have shared together and wish them success for the future.”
