Wild Turkey yesterday (June 8) unveiled its latest sporting initiative – the Wild Turkey Darts Pro Tour – with a special celebrity AFL v NRL challenge at Sydney’s Darling Harbour.
The event, which aims to bring darts back to the Australian psyche, saw Sydney Rooster and Australian League representative Jason Ryles and fellow Sydney Rooster Daniel Conn take on Rugby League legends Sean Garlick and Phil Howlett on the darts board.

Despite a strong performance from all involved, it was Sydney Rooster Conn who managed to beat Sydney Rabbitohs legend Garlick, while fellow Rabbitoh Ryles defeated former Rabbitoh Howlett.
The Wild Turkey Darts Pro Tour is a national tour with 12 major events running from August 6 – 21. Each event will feature some of the world’s top dart players including Steve ‘The Bronzed Adonis’ Beaton, Dennis ‘The Menace’ Priestley, Bob ‘The Limestone Cowboy’ Anderson, Richie ‘The Prince of Wales’ Burnett and Alan ‘The Iceman’ Warriner.
Wild Turkey marketing director Brad Timbrell said that he was proud to be partnering such an innovative event. “Wild Turkey is the number one premium Kentucky Straight Bourbon in Australia and is excited about partnering with the Wild Turkey Darts Pro Tour and the Wild Turkey Darts Tournament, as the premier darts events in Australia.”
The first event on the tour will be held at the Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre on August 6.
