Wild Turkey is partnering with the Australian Hotels Association NSW (AHA NSW) to help provide financial relief for victims of the NSW March 2021 floods.
As part of the AHA NSW and St. Vincent de Paul Society’s ‘When it rains, we pour’ fundraising campaign, Wild Turkey is donating bourbon and RTD products to 50 selected venues from the 25 NSW Local Government Areas that were affected.
Wild Turkey’s spokesperson Paolo Marinoni said: “The selected venues and the communities they serve have had a really trying few months following the floods. It’s in our DNA to help out our fellow Australians, especially during such times and we hope this initiative will offer some respite.
“We know that our local pubs and venues hold a special place in the community. In recognition of that, and as part of our dedication to our industry partners, we wanted to lend a hand to support and provide some much-needed relief as they look to recover and rebuild.”
Venues including Bird in Hand Inn in Pitt Town, West Kempsey Hotel and Wiseman’s Ferry Inn have been asked to donate at least 50 per cent of proceeds from Wild Turkey stock sold to the St Vincent de Paul Society.
The program will support impacted venues and communities from Clarence Valley, Kempsey, Tenterfield, Hawkesbury, Wollondilly, Port Macquarie-Hastings, Blue Mountains, Nambucca Valley, Mid-Coast, Central Coast, Bellingen, Fairfield, Cumberland, Liverpool, Penrith, Blacktown, Hornsby, Inner West, Parramatta, Campbelltown, Northern Beaches, Camden, Ku-ring-gai, Port Stephens and Central Coast.
The fundraising campaign started last month with a $25,000 donation from AHA NSW. When The Shout published this article, the total relief fund was $26,084.75.
