Wild Turkey master distiller and brand ambassador, Jimmy Russell, visited Australia last week to promote the Wild Turkey brand and provide training to Campari's new Australian team.
Russell originally started with Wild Turkey in 1954 and continues to play an active role in the production of Wild Turkey. The Russell family has been involved in the making of Wild Turkey for four generations, with son, Eddie Russell, also involved at Wild Turkey as the associate distiller.
“I’ve seen many changes in my time as master distiller at Wild Turkey, but what always remains the same is the quality of the product that we create,” said Russell.
Russell spent part of last week at the Campari conference in Kingscliff, NSW, conducting Wild Turkey training sessions with Campari’s new team. Campari kicks off trading on April 1 and will assume full control of the Wild Turkey brand on July 1.
