Sydney’s wine lovers will get a chance to experience the best of NSW wine regions this Sunday (14 March) when Sydney Cellar Door comes to Hyde Park.
More than 110 producers from across 14 regions will set up cellar doors in the leafy surrounds of Hyde Park to showcase their wines to the public.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to match the wines to a gourmet produce and dishes from some of Sydney’s leading restaurants.
While entry to the event is free, tasting glasses cost $5 and tasting tickets are available for $4.
Now in its third year, Sydney Cellar Door is one of the major events of NSW Wine Week.
Hosted in conjunction with The Sydney Morning Herald, NSW Wine Week provides a platform to promote the premier wines of the state to wine lovers in the city.
One of the other highlights of the week is a series of dinners at some of Sydney’s most iconic restaurants, with each dinner given a unique theme to show the best of NSW wine and produce.
Participating restaurants include Becasse, Buon Ricardo, Pilu at Freshwater and Sean’s Kitchen.
NSW Wine Week will be officially launched at an exclusive function tomorrow night at The Winery by Gazebo in Surry Hills.
