Wine communications company, Winestream, is changing hands, with long-time wine PR consultant Alex Gilson teaming up with Kylie Teasdell, formerly of Hungerford Hill, who will take on the role of managing director.
Rob Geddes MW has sold the Sydney-based business to the duo, who will take over on Tuesday. The company will be known as Winestream Communications.
Capitalising on Teasdell’s sales and marketing experience, and Gilson’s wide-ranging PR skills and contacts, the pair will offer a wider range of services and an “international approach” to PR.
Geddes will focus on writing his second book following A Good Nose and Great Legs.
“Writing about wine and running a busy communications company was pushing too many boundaries,” Geddes said. “The opportunity to sell my business to my most loyal and long-term employee Alex, and long-time friend and former client Kylie, was one I couldn’t let pass by.”
Winestream was founded in 1997 by Adrian Read, Lesley Ann Grimoldby and Craig McCarthy. It was sold to Rob Geddes in 2003.
