The world’s largest wine and spirits exhibition, ProWein, has announced it will be expanding with a new show launching in Singapore.
The first ProWine Asia event will launch in Singapore from 12-15 April 2016 and will complement the existing annual ProWine China exhibition which is currently underway in Shanghai this week.
The Singapore and the Shanghai exhibitions will be sister events to the largest annual wine and spirits exhibition – ProWein in Düsseldorf which will celebrate its 21st year in March 2015 and is expected to feature the largest Australian attendance in the event’s history with over 500 square metres rumoured to be booked by local wineries and wine brands.
ProWine Asia will be co-located alongside the existing bi-annual Food&HotelAsia (FHA) exhibition which already attracts over 45,000 trade visitors and will replace the liquor component of this fair – Wine&SpiritsAsia.
“There are 570 million people in South East Asia from markets including Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, The Philippines and Thailand and these markets are drinking more wine than ever,” said Gernot Ringling, the managing director of the Singapore office of Messe Düsseldorf – the owners of the ProWein fair.
“ProWine Asia will benefit from our expertise in the global wine trade by bringing together trade buyers and the world’s best exhibitors,” he said.
