Yellowglen will be bringing the Melbourne Cup Carnival to life for bubbly-loving punters at its Yellowglen Bubbly Bar and Experience at Flemington.
Named as the official wine sponsor of the 2010 Melbourne Cup Carnival, Yellowglen will host a two-storey bar which gives racegoers prime position to take in all the action on the track while enjoying sparkling wines from the Yellowglen portfolio.
The Yellowglen Bubbly Bar and Experience also includes a strong social media and networking aspect, allowing guests to take photos within the bar and upload them immediately to Facebook and post comments on Twitter.
In addition, Yellowglen has developed the WHERE R U? iPhone application, which allows racegoers to keep track of each other throughout the day using real-time GPS and Facebook, as well as locating key destinations within Flemington, including the nearest Yellowglen Bubbly Bar, bathrooms, transport, first-aid and food outlets.
The Yellowglen Bubbly Bar and Experience will be located on the Public Lawn East (next to Myer Fashions on the Field) at Flemington and is open to all ticket holders on the following days:
AAMI Victoria Derby Day, Saturday 30 October
Emirates Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday 2 November
Crown Oaks Day, Thursday 4 November
Emirates Stakes Day, Saturday, 6 November
This year marks the 150th running of the Emirates Melbourne Cup, with Pernod Ricard Australia’s G.H. Mumm brand signed on for its first year as the official Champagne sponsor.
Previous years has seen Moet & Chandon hold the coveted Champagne contract for the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
