Sydney’s Zeta bar has again proven itself a leader in bar culture, bringing a little bit of London charm to their inner-city bar and winter cocktail menu.

Launched this month (June), every Friday in winter will see the terrace bar transformed into Covent Garden, complete with buskers, roasted chestnuts and winter-inspired cocktails.

Covent Garden comes to Sydney's Zeta bar

Zeta mixologist, Grant Collins, of UK origin, said that he was inspired to bring some of the Old World charm of Covent Garden to the modern backdrop of Zeta bar.

“We wanted to offer something different from the usual ‘winter specials’ that appear in Sydney bars,” he said.

“[We have done this] by embracing winter as a season and promoting it as a great time to get out and about and enjoy some unique drinks.”

Zeta’s cocktail creations include traditional Mulled Wine, a selection of Hot Toddys and roasted Bloody Marys as well as roasted chestnut-infused twisted classic cocktails such as the Sidecar.

Zeta bar has developed a reputation as a trendsetter in bar culture, offering cutting-edge cocktails such as cryogenic sorbets and popcorn-infused rums.

Their bar team won Bar Team of the Year at last year’s Australian Liquor Industry Awards (ALIA).
