1800 Tequila has unveiled the ‘1800 Newgroni’ a fun campaign running throughout September, which is challenging consumers to think differently about their classic Negroni ingredients.

Australia’s Negroni drinkers are being invited by 1800 to ‘Ditch The Gin’ and replace it with 30ml of 1800 Blanco Tequila, alongside the other classic Negroni ingredients and finish it off with the classic orange twist.

“The Newgroni campaign allows us to engage in an experiential way with premium spirits drinkers,” says a Proximo Spirits spokesperson. “It’s about showing that tequila can be part of a sophisticated, modern cocktail culture, and we are excited to see the public’s reaction.”

The campaign has come to life through a multi-platform strategy and offers consumers the chance to win an exclusive Newgroni cocktail package, complete with their own bottle of Newgroni, a 200ml bottle of 1800 Blanco Tequila, and two bespoke recycled 1800 Newgroni glasses from Upcycled Glassware.

The Newgroni program is already underway and will run throughout September on the 1800 Tequila Newgroni website and the 1800 social media channels.
