The Angove family craft a wide range of premium wines from vineyards across South Australia with a focus on McLaren Vale, where their beautiful cellar door is located.
McLaren Vale is renowned for its exceptional vineyards and ideal growing conditions. The region’s Mediterranean climate, combined with the proximity to the cooling influence of the Gulf St. Vincent, creates the perfect environment for producing world-class wines. This unique terroir, characterised by ancient soils and gentle sea breezes, imparts distinctive flavours and aromas to the grapes, resulting in wines of exceptional quality.
The Angove Family have recently expanded their vineyard footprint in McLaren Vale with the 2019 purchase of the Angels Rise Vineyard, a 12.8Ha vineyard located high above the township of Clarendon at an altitude of 310m above sea level. This compliments the family’s historically significant Warboys Vineyard, planted to 90-year-old Shiraz and 60-year-old grenache vines and provides super premium fruit for the family flagship and single vineyard wines.
The winemaking philosophy at Angove Wines is grounded in respect for the land, to enable our wines to truly reflect where they are grown. Lead by Chief Winemaker, Tony Ingle the winemaking team carefully craft each bottle to showcase the unique characteristics of McLaren Vale. From the elegant Shiraz to the luscious Grenache, each wine reflects the region’s terroir, while embodying the passion and dedication of the Angove family.

The Angove McLaren Vale cellar door is located in the Warboys Vineyard and has recently undergone a substantial renovation to now offer a curated vineyard dining experience, private tasting areas and a spirits bar showcasing the products of the Angove family’s St Agnes Distillery.
The range of wines crafted from McLaren Vale include the flagship Warboys Single Vineyard wines, The Medhyk Old Vine Shiraz, Angels Rise, Family Crest and the Wild Olive Organic range.
