The Australian craft beer industry is set to descend on Brisbane next week for the 2016 Australian Craft Brewers Conference (ACBC) and Craft Beer Awards.
It is the first time the Craft Beer Industry Association (CBIA) has combined the ACBC, Trade Expo and Craft Beer Awards into one big week and taken it on the road.
The ACBC and Trade Expo will run 20-21 July at the Royal International Convention Centre, Bowen Hills, with the programme again split into two streams: Brewery Operations and The Business of Beer.
The sessions will delve into everything from raw materials, to brewery systems, to the ecosystems of the supply chain, right through to getting the beer onto shelves and into cellars. Big picture issues will also be tacked such as tap contracts, logistics and distribution.
The Trade Expo will return bigger and better than ever, with 46 exhibitors ranging over the entire supply chain on hand.
The week will culminate with the presentation ceremony for the 2016 Craft Beer Awards, which will be held at Lightspace in Fortitude Valley on Thursday, 21 July.
