Australia's competition watchdog is reviewing the proposed acquisition of Foster's Group's non-alcoholic beverages business by Coca-Cola Amatil.

CCA's proposed acquisition of Foster's non-alcoholic business follows its purchase of the brewer's Fiji liquor operations in March, and is the final asset swap resulting from Foster's acquisition by SABMiller.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) says Foster's has more than 20 non-alcoholic beverage brands in Australia, including Cascade, Apple Isle and Nature's Orchard.

The ACCC has requested comments on the competitive effects of the deal by July 17.
