As a result of Accolade Wines carrying out a review of some of its positions and reporting lines up to 15 people have been offered redundancy.

Sources have told TheShout that the changes will be mainly happening in the company's marketing department.

A spokesperson for Accolade told TheShout: "Accolade Wines can confirm that some positions have been reviewed, and some reporting lines have been changed, in line with the normal course of business.

"Some employees have been offered other opportunities within the company and some have been offered redundancies."

The spokesperson added that the changes are not a result of Accolade refocusing or selling off any parts of its business, they have come as a result of the review and subsequent restructuring.

In September the company announced that its UK general manager Paul Schaafsma will be taking over as chief executive officer, a role he started earlier this month. Schaafsma took over from John Radcliffe who is now the company's deputy chairman.
