Accolade Wines has announced a new distribution partnership with red + white that will see its premium portfolio make a push into the on-premise channel.

Commencing August 1, the new arrangement will see red + white responsible for the distribution of Accolade brands including Arras, Bay of Fires, Eddystone Point, Hardys, Yarra Burn and Leasignham into on-premise venues.

Accolade Wines’ national account manager – on-premise, Chris Davis, told TheShout that Accolade has always been heavily skewed towards the off-premise. The new agreement with red + white would allow the company to provide wider scope and a much higher level of service to its on-premise customers.

“Red + white are a leading distributor and give us the ability to touch more on-premise customers. It’s all around being able to better service our on-premise partners and we see the partnership with red + white as an opportunity to sell more of our premium portfolio to the on-premise channel,” said Davis.

“Through red+white we are now able to tap into Bam Logistics and they do daily metro deliveries, Saturday deliveries and have an online ordering system, which is what the on-premise channel is looking for.”

Davis said the partnership would allow Accolade to have much wider distribution for the on-premise customer, which is the ideal market for some of its labels.

“We’ve got these premium brands such as Arras, some of the Hardys wines and Eddystone Point… we now have the ability to get those wines into on-premise venues.”
