The Australian Hotels Association Western Australia (AHA WA) has backed the state government’s new marketing campaign, which has been designed to attract more interstate visitors to Western Australia.
The Hotel Perth campaign was launched by Tourism Minister Paul Papalia in conjunction with Tourism WA and aims to highlight Perth’s hospitality and tourism sector and AHA WA CEO Bradley Woods said he was delighted with the campaign.
“This is a concerted and multifaceted effort by the McGowan Government to grow WA’s hospitality and tourism sector which is sensational news for hotel businesses and the many thousands of workers in the sector,” Woods said.
“Perth and Western Australia has an incredible product in terms of our hospitality, unique destinations and outstanding food and beverage.
“The AHA has long advocated for a greater emphasis to be placed on boosting interstate visitation.
“There is a common misconception that Perth hotel rooms are limited and expensive.
“These days, nothing could be further from the truth – the selection of hotels is wide, prices are very affordable and the State has transformed considerably over the past decade.”
Hotel Perth will show potential visitors just how much the city has changed in recent times, including the rapid development and expansion of Perth’s vibrant restaurant and bar scene.
“We are delighted that Tourism WA has identified the need to proactively drive visitors to Perth through an extensive advertising campaign,” Woods added.
