The Australian Liquor Stores Association (ALSA) is getting ready to go west this August for the 18th annual ALSA conference, held for the first time ever in Perth.

Record attendance is expected at this year’s conference as liquor retailers and key suppliers converge on Burswood Entertainment Complex for three days of business sessions exploring the concept of ‘convenience is king’ in the independent retail liquor sector.

The conference program will give delegates the opportunity to hear from guest speakers on the state of the industry, including Nielsen’s Michael Walton, Peter Switzer, CEOs from leading suppliers, and local politicians and regulators.

Delegates will also be able to participate sessions that target issues specific to retail liquor outlets including armed robbery hold-up and industrial relations guidelines.

There are also ample networking opportunities throughout the conference, including the gala dinner on the final evening.

The conference kicks off with a welcome dinner on Sunday, 28 August before wrapping up on Thursday, 1 September.
