Jackson Thornton has been appointed by Alepat Taylor as the new brand ambassador for Amaro Montenegro in Australia.

Thornton started out almost 10 years ago working as a bartender in bars from the Mornington Peninsula to Melbourne, including four years at the Carlton Hotel in Melbourne’s CBD.

Thornton told TheShout: “I completed my bachelor degree in Professional Communication in 2014, though I was in a tempting position to learn more about management of an enormous and busy venue, and I loved the action.

“My eight years of experience behind the bar and in management has included making and inventing cocktails, mentoring those new to the game, and learning what it takes for brands such as Montenegro to grow and change.

He added: “I look forward to bringing my educational and professional experience to build a strong following for Amaro Montenegro.

“I am excited to be the brand ambassador for Montenegro and help grow this brand into something bigger and more exciting. Montenegro has long been a bartender’s choice, it’s now time for it to move beyond that and reach the palate of the everyday person.”

Thornton has started with Alepat Taylor today, Monday 18 April, and is available on email at jackson@alepat.com.au.
