Anchor Distilling Company’s global brand ambassador, Morgan G Heuwetter, is hosting masterclasses to increase awareness of her portfolio.

Throughout November, the exclusive masterclasses, including two in Sydney’s Kings Cross this afternoon (Nov 18) will enhance trade knowledge of the small distillery’s wares.

Distributed locally through Southtrade International, the range includes Junipero Gin and Old Potrero Whiskey.

Due to Anchor’s small production quantities supplies to Australia have been limited, but welcomed by the Australian bartending community.

“We are very happy that Anchor Distilling Company has guaranteed a set quantity for Australian distribution,” said Southrade International director, Dave Higgins. “The response since the release of Junipero and the Old Potrero whiskeys in 2007 has been astronomical.”

With a focus on Junipero, the sessions will also include a tasting of the new gin from Anchor, Genevieve, a recreation of one of the world’s first gin styles.

Established in 1993, the Anchor Distilling Company makes very small batches of traditionally distilled spirits.

Since 2004, it has won a total of 17 medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, including Double Golds for Junípero Gin and Old Potrero Whiskey.
