More than 180 industry guests turned out for the NLG Hotel Group’s Annual Sportsman’s Lunch, which was held last Friday (Nov 12) at the Hotel Cremorne, with a three course buffet lunch supplied by Top Cut Food Industries.

The event canvassed a number of sporting codes, with former Wallaby manager Brendan Morris the MC, and special guest appearances by cricket legend Doug Walters and comedian Brett Nichols.

Activities included sporting memorabilia auctions and a live wrestling display, as well as a return visit from 2009 special guest, Warwick Capper.

“The Sportsman’s Lunch has become an iconic part of the NLG social calendar and a great way to gather our key industry friends and preferred suppliers for an enjoyable day out. It’s a rare occasion when you get to see so many industry leaders (and competitors) all in the one room sharing a laugh and enjoying a beer together,” said NLG Hotel Group marketing manager, Alistair Flower, from inside the wrestling ring.

The Sportsman’s Lunch was attended by NLG Hotel Group partners Lion Nathan, Fosters, Diageo, Coca Cola Amatil, Aristocrat, Authentic Services, Tabcorp, Optus and more.
