Andy Bower, formerly of Brown Forman, Casella and most recently Coca-Cola Amatil, has taken a new role with Metcash.

Bower finished up as CCA’s NSW general manager earlier this month and will start on November 17 at Metcash Food Group as general manager merchandise, where he will report to fellow liquor industry alumni, Fergus Collins.

“Ian Morrice, CEO of Metcash and his team have put in place a robust transformation plan with significant investment over the next three years and I am delighted to be joining a strong Metcash team at such a time,” Bower said in a note to his contacts.

“I have been very impressed with the Metcash team and the future strategy and vision for the business, and I very much look forward to the challenge.”

“It is a significant opportunity to further develop my own skills and to add what I can of my own leadership and commercial experience to Metcash during such a critical period of change and development,” he said.
