Archie Rose is paying a savoury tribute to the team’s love of Martinis and the wonders of a boozy Bloody Mary brunch with its new Salt & Pepper Gin & Vodka kit: a twox200ml set of Sea Salt Gin and Pink Peppercorn Vodka.

The Sea Salt Gin has “punchy and complex notes of citrus and celery leaf” making it an ideal gin for Martinis, while the pepper profile, tropical fruit and woody spice of the Pink Peppercorn Vodka are perfect in Bloody Marys.

Master Distiller, Dave Withers, said: “You might say that there are a few gourmands in the Archie Rose team and our shared love for amazing food and drink was the inspiration for this product.

“The two great flavour enhancers of great food are salt and pepper, which in essence enhance the enjoyment of a meal. Our Sea Salt Gin and Pepper Vodka will add spice or vigour to the moment in the same way a truly phenomenal seasoning might.”

“What started as a journey into the boundaries of umami and a desire to create gourmet savoury spirits has led to the creation of what we think are the ultimate party starters for the lovers of truly exceptional spirits and cocktails.”

Archie Rose Head of Hospitality, Harriet Leigh, added: “These spirits are intended as two luxurious, decadent beasts, created as the baseline to two of the great all-time cocktails and ready to mix for lunchtime drinks or as the ultimate morning pick-me-up.”

The team recommends a Martini with 50ml of Sea Salt Gin and 10ml of Maidenii Vermouth. Stir to your desired dilution and garnish to your heart’s desire.

Or, adding 50ml of Pink Peppercorn Vodka, 10ml of Mabu Mabu Tomato Hot Sauce and 120ml Westmont Pickles Bloody Mary Mix together in a glass rimmed with the spice rub and then adding your pick of favourite garnishes like celery, olives or lemons to complete the perfect Bloody Mary.

Both spirits can be swapped for Archie Rose’s recommended recipes and drunk in your method (and cocktail) of choice over ice or with tonic.
