The Archie Rose run of new spirits created with its new state-of-the-art distillery continues, with the launch of two new spirits: Sunrise Lime Gin Harvest 2020 and Eau De Bee Honey Spirit, celebrate local ingredients through innovative distilling technology.

The Sunrise Lime Gin Harvest is the second release in the Archie Rose Harvest series and this year heroes native sunrise lime, a hybrid citrus fruit grown by Mark and Vickie at Marvick Native Farms in Western Australia. This herbaceous yet vibrant lime helps to deliver a gin “bursting with generous citrus and flavours of kumquat, spearmint and mango”.

Experimental release, Eau De Bee Honey Spirit is an eau de vie which has distilled Blue Gum honey from Beechworth Honey in Victoria, the result described as “a beautiful honey spirit giving soft, creamy notes of golden syrup, creme fraiche, elderflower and cherry ripe, followed by a dazzling display of delicate florals and stone fruit”.

“These two new releases are fantastic expressions of the Australian environment and the breadth of incredible native ingredients we are lucky enough to have access to, and are only made possible by our new copper vacuum stills which allow us to cold distil botanicals to extract the absolute best from them,” says Archie Rose founder, Will Edwards.

Master Distiller, Dave Withers, adds: “One of the perks of our fascination with using the best quality Australian produce, is establishing meaningful relationships with growers.

“Having that relationship with the land via the grower forces us to stay in tune with the cycles of the season and the harvest itself. It is a constant reminder that great produce is the result of a year’s work of toil by both the grower and the land.”

Archie Rose Sunrise Lime Gin Harvest 2020 will be available from 3 November, Eau De Bee Honey Spirit will be available from Wednesday 10 November both via the Archie Rose website and the cellar door, with 10 per cent of proceeds from Eau De Bee website sales donated to Wheen Bee Foundation, Australia’s leading bee charity.
