Aristocrat Leisure Limited (ALL) has been awarded almost $500,000 in damages from Global Gaming Supplies Pty Ltd and Impact Gaming Pty Ltd, their principals and associates.

The Australian Federal Court delivered a judgment in favour of Aristocrat and found that, among other things, Aristocrat’s game software had been intentionally burned onto blank erasable programmable read-only memory software, its artwork had been copied illegally and counterfeit Aristocrat compliance plates had been manufactured for export.

Aristocrat’s managing director – Australia and New Zealand, Trevor Croker, said that Aristocrat was pleased with the judgment.

“…The Court’s ruling sends a strong message to the market that counterfeiting and breach of Aristocrat’s intellectual property will not be tolerated,” he said.
