Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred in Sydney’s inner west this morning (Sept 3).

Three armed men entered the pub on Burwood Road, Burwood, and threatened staff with weapons and demanded cash at around 12:25am.

One of the men was armed with a handgun, one with a knife and the other with a baseball bat.

Staff handed the contents of the tills over to the men before they fled the scene.

No one was injured during the incident.

The men left the scene in a green sedan which was parked in the carpark of the hotel. It is believed the vehicle which was last seen heading north on Burwood Road was being driven by a fourth person.

The three men are all described as having a dark complexion and aged in their early 20s. At the time they were wearing towels and clothing over their faces.

Anyone with information that may assist investigators is urged to contact Burwood detectives via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
