Asahi to launch whisky RTD

The Wild Moose RTD contains 100 per cent Canadian grain whisky, premium dry ginger and a splash of lime flavour and is Asahi's play at capitalising on the increasingly popular Canadian whisky category.
Kelly Jones, Asahi Premium Beverage's dark spirits brand category manager, said: "Canadian Whisky [RTDs] is one of the fastest growing Dark RTD segments in the Australian Market.
"Asahi Premium Beverages is extremely excited to expand its dark RTD portfolio, and we think Aussies will appreciate the care we've taken to ensure Wild Moose upholds the authentic flavours of 100 per cent Canadian grain whisky."
The new RTD is launching nationally through independent retailers in early October and will be available in six-packs of 375ml cans. The 4.8 per cent ABV drink will be supported in-store with POS plus a sampling program. Asahi Premium Beverages will also be launching a consumer promotion in 2016.
