Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) has appointed Ilana Atlas to the board as a non-executive director, effective as of Wednesday (Feb 23).

Atlas fills the vacancy on the board resulting from the recent resignation of Jillian Broadbent.

Atlas is a non-executive director of Suncorp Group and over the past ten years has held senior executive roles within Westpac Banking Corp and was a partner at Mallesons law firm for 17 years.

"We are delighted that Ilana is joining the CCA board. She brings to the board a keen mind and extensive experience in business at a very senior level," said CCA chairman David Gonksi.

"We look forward to Ilana's contribution to CCA."

CCA announced earlier this week that is had delivered a net profit of $506.6 million for 2010.
