Auchentoshan is launching its latest expression, American Oak, in Australia with a campaign led by Beam Suntory and Coca-Cola Amatil.
The triple distilled spirit has launched a cocktail campaign which aims to combine mixology and photography to find Australia’s “Distilled Different” bar team.
Those entering the competition are asked to create an original cocktail which highlights the Auchentoshan American Oak and also reflects their team’s personality. Twelve finalist teams will then be paired with an up and coming Australian photographer from Art Pharmacy Consulting to create a body of work that captures the team’s personality.
One team will officially be named the Auchentoshan Distilled Different Bar Team of the Year and along with their partnering photographer, will win a trip to Glasgow to discover more about the home of the Scotch whisky.
Speaking about the launch of the new Auchentoshan in Australia and the Distilled Different campaign, Beam Suntory’s brand manager Chiara Molena said: “We’re excited to launch such an innovative and involved campaign against the backdrop of Auchentoshan American Oak culture. There are many unique ways to enjoy whisky and we’re looking forward to seeing the 'Distilled Different' personalities of the bar teams, as well as their skilled craftsmanship, come to light through the entries.
"Our partnership with some of Australia’s most exciting up and coming photographers will really bring Auchentoshan to life by capturing the essence of what being ‘Distilled Different’ means to bar teams across Australia."
The competition is now open and entries will close on 30 June, 2016 with full details available on the Distilled Different website.
Auchentoshan American Oak has been matured in American bourbon casks, which have helped to create aromas of vanilla and coconut, with layers of zesty citrus.
The new expression is now available for bars and bottleshops with a $59.90 RRP.
