London-based wine writer Matthew Jukes released his list of the top 100 wines at the 2009 London International Wine Fair yesterday (May 12).

It marks the sixth Matthew Jukes 100 Best Australian Wines list, which has become popular among both consumers and the trade.

“In no other country do we encounter such a range of diversity, innovation and the ability to deliver across such an extreme range of price points,” Jukes said.

“The competition in selecting the top 100 was extremely tough, with over 200 wines to choose from. We continue to support the Wine Australia branding and segmentation initiative, and we have designated each wine with one of the four brand personalities.”
