A brand-new gin has just been launched to the Australian market – Sacred Gin.

Joining local distributer Le Shack’s portfolio, Sacred Gin hails from a microdistillery in Highgate, North London.

Containing 12 different botanicals including juniper, cardamom, nutmeg, and Boswellia Sacra (frankincense), Sacred Gin claims to be unique in that all of the botanicals are distilled separately in glassware under vacuum at a very low temperature.

Its recipe is based loosely on a Dutch gin recipe dating back to the 17th Century.

Sacred Gin joins the growing number of gins recently launched in Australia, including Tamborine Mountain Distillery’s new Lilly Pilly Gin, reported on TheShout on Monday (Jan 17).
