Australian Brewery celebrated the launch of its latest seasonal, Saison D’Heretique, on Thursday night at Sydney bar Bitter Phew.

The brewers provided guests with a taste of the new Saison while also revealing a little about its inspiration.

“It has been our most collaborative beer yet, from the creation of the brew to the design and packaging. It is the best seasonal we’ve done”, said Australian Brewery beer ambassador Andrew Beck.

“We wanted it to have an international feel, being a Saison, so we moved away from our more traditional branding and used a French name and European design to achieve this," Beck told TheShout.

Saison D’Heretique is crafted with both French and Belgian yeasts, making it a light beer that packs a hefty punch of white pepper, clove and citrus on the palate with notes of liquorice, clove, citrus and pepper on the aroma.

It has been released in cans as well as on draught to selected venues.
