They say it’s impossible to improve on perfection, but they haven’t tried Australian Distilling Co.’s Shiraz Gin.

It starts with their award-winning Adelaide Gin, recently awarded Best of Class at the Sip Awards, unanimously viewed as the world’s most prestigious spirits competition. Adelaide Gin is small batch distilled in beautiful copper pot stills at their Stepney distillery, and imbued with an aromatic collection of both classic and contemporary botanicals. Already a vibrant expression of Australia’s rich wine and spirit-making traditions, they have elevated this celebrated gin even further by adding another Australian icon: Barossa Valley Shiraz grapes.

Having sourced the ripe fruit from his winemaking brother David, founder Michael Hickinbotham infuses the two just long enough to impart the fruity body of the Shiraz grapes without losing the refreshing brightness of the juniper, rose, lavender and nutmeg-spiked gin. The resulting spirit retains the gin’s complex profile, but is imbued with a nose of pepper, blackcurrant and spice from the steeped grapes, as well as hints of raspberry on the palate.

Australian Distilling Co. Shiraz Gin has been awarded Platinum and Consumer Choice at the 2023 International SIP Awards, 95 pt Gold at the 2023 International Wine and Spirits Competition UK and Gold at the 2023 World Gin Awards. These awards add to the already impressive array of global accolades with over 300 awards and medals across a portfolio of 18 spirits, making Australian Distilling Co. Australia’s most awarded distillery.
