After three months promoting their Legacy cocktails around the country and beyond, the Three Most Promising will compete at the Bacardi Legacy Australian Grand Final next Tuesday, 7 February.

Dave Kerr, Joshua O’Brien and Ryan Snedden will face off at Sydney’s Kittyhawk for the chance to be the 2017 Bacardí Legacy Australia champion.

Since successfully competing in the Top 8 Semi-Final held in November last year, the three bartenders have launched their marketing initiatives with ongoing Brand Ambassador mentorship. This included taking over the official Bacardí social media channels and attending the Melbourne edition of House of Bacardí to sling their Legacy cocktails out to the 1,100 party-goers.

Next week, they will deliver their marketing presentations summarising the reach and strength of their campaigns to the Bacardí brand team before competing at the Grand Final.

Between the Three Most Promising’s presentations, the guests making up the Legacy Gran Familia will be treated to a tailored dining experience, paired with the contestants’ Legacy cocktails:

THE VIENTO – Dave Kerr – The Beaufort & Ike’s, VIC

BACARTEA – Joshua O’Brien – The Bowery, QLD

WANDERLUST – Ryan Snedden – The Lobo Plantation, NSW

The judging panel this year includes the 2016 Australian Legacy winner, Andrew Bennett, 2014’s inaugural Legacy champion, Fred Siggins, and Steve Schneider of Employees Only – who has made the trip from Singapore especially for the occasion.

They will carefully consider each cocktail according to its name, inspiration and longevity, appearance and presentation, aroma and taste and its originality, replicability and the bartender’s overall performance.

This final deliberation will reveal who will hold the 2017 title and go on to represent Australia at the BACARDÍ Legacy Global Final being held in Berlin this May.
