Bacardi Lion has announced the launch of a brand-new bar training program – Sensology.

Aimed at bartenders and bar owners, the program will run nationally and will focus on encouraging participants to engage the senses, while learning practical cocktail-making skills.

“Using the senses to engage the bar trade reinforces learning in a simple and interactive way that audiences find entertaining and fun at the same time,” said Bacardi Lion national on-premise manager, Paul Broadbent.

Run by local brand ambassadors Loy Catada (NSW/SA), Jeremy Shipley (NSW/WA), Sean Forsyth (QLD), Martin Newell (VIC/TAS) and Chantal Davies (national), Sensology will offer a number of different hands-on training modules, as well as practical advice on how to successfully run a bar.

“There is a real demand for skills-based workshops that deliver performance results for bottom-line profitability and increased bartender capabilities, this is where the Sensology program really comes into its element,” added Broadbent.

Sensology will also feature at this weekend’s (Aug 26-29) Taste of Melbourne, a popular food, wine and spririts festival.
